For systems that require a PSTN interface, DNI cards provide a interface between the digital PSTN network and the DiaStar™ Server.

Dialogic® Distributed Signaling Interface (DSI) Boards
DSI boards are designed to interface the DiaStar server to SS7 and ATM networks. They are designed for distributed execution of SS7 message processing across board processors and application host CPUs.
- A wide range of SS7 link densities - 4 to 128 links - are supported
- Software selectable T1 or E1 interfaces
- Used in conjunction with DNI boards via H.100 CTBus for media bearer channels
- ISDN User Part (ISUP) and Telephony User Part (TUP) signaling protocols
