Overview
The DiaStar™ Server (DSS) provides media and signalling services via the Woomera protocol.
DSS can deployed as a media gateway, signaling gateway, or media server in conjunction with Asterisk® or any other platform implementing a Woomera Client.
DSS is an open source project that also includes access to closed-source components from Dialogic® that provide value added functionality.

Python Client Library
The iso build contains a simple test client application called verification.py, which uses a python module called taipan to handle the Woomera protocol.
Although this module is quite basic, it relies on DiaStar for all media handling, it may still prove useful for other client implementations and therefore is made available from subversion:
