Tone Detection

Call Progress Analysis

  • Busy tone detection, detect 74 out of 76 unique busy/congestion tones used in 97 countries as specified by ITU-T Rec. E., Suppl. #2.
  • Ring back detection uses both frequency and cadence detection to detect 83 out of 87 unique ring back tones used in 96 countries as specified by ITU-T Rec. E., Suppl. #2
  • Positive voice detection with speed as little as 1/10th of a second
  • Positive answering machine detection
  • Fax/modem detection
  • Intercept detection Detects entire sequence of the North American tri-tone.

Custom Tone Detection

  • Up to 20 tone detection rules can be defined
  • Single and dual tones with or without cadence
  • Tone detection from 300Hz to 3.5kHz

Advanced Video

  • Audio / Video Playback and Record
  • Synchronization of voice and video streams for playback and recording
  • H.263, H.264 and MPEG-4 video codecs
  • Video transcoding and video transrating
  • Video frame rates of 30, 15, 10, or 6 frames per second
  • Video image formats
    • Common Intermediate Format (CIF) PAL at 352 by 288 pixels,
    • Quarter Common Intermediate Format (QCIF) PAL at 176 by 144 pixels
    • Sub-QCIF PAL at 128 by 96 pixels

Video Conferencing

  • Video and audio synchronization
  • Variable number (1,4,6,9) of tiles (callers' windows)
  • Dialplan-controlled image overlay for each conferee
  • Transcoding of varied video codecs into the appropriate type for each conferee
  • Display of static image into a conference
  • Display of a video clip into a conference
  • Ad-hoc conferencing
  • Controlled conferencing with various "roles"
    • Controller or moderator
    • Presenter with full duplex audio/video
    • Attendee listens to and views conference but is not seen nor heard
  • Automatic audio gain control
  • Echo cancellation
  • DTMF supression

Interfaces

SIP

  • G.711, G.722 and G.729 audio codecs

ISDN provided via Dialogic® DNI boards

  • Available in form factors with one, two, four, or eight digital network interfaces
  • Software configurable T1/E1 interfaces
  • Support for a wide range of PSTN protocols including ISDN and CAS signaling

SS7 signaling provided via Dialogic® DSI boards

  • A wide range of SS7 link densities - 4 to 128 links - are supported
  • Software selectable T1 or E1 interfaces
  • Used in conjunction with DNI boards via H.100 CTBus for media bearer channels
  • ISDN User Part (ISUP) and Telephony User Part (TUP) signaling protocols

SIGTRAN

  • Support for industry standards as well as many country variations
  • SIGTRAN layers support graduated throughput capability from 312 Kibps to 19,680 Kibps (equivalent of 4 to 256 SS7 links)
  • Used in conjunction with DNI boards via H.100 CTBus for media bearer channels
  • SIGTRAN message transport protocols running on the host:
    • SCTP (Stream Control Transmission Protocol)
    • M2PA (MTP2 User Peer-to-Peer Adaptation)
    • M3UA (MTP3 User Adaptation)
    • SUA (Signaling Connection Control Part User Adaptation)
  • ISDN User Part (ISUP) and Telephony User Part (TUP) signaling protocols
